I have been feeding my puppy with food that has a meat and not a by product as the first ingredient. It claims the best ratio is 27 % to 14%
but the feed store didn’t have the food I wanted this past week so I have been looking at other dog foods and they claims other ratios are better. So I am going to the city(1.5 hours away) and am planning to get some other dog food since the feed store didn’t order any even though I asked.
So i was wondering what was really the best ratio for puppy food…. my puppy will probably be about 100 pounds female. I WANT THE RATIO NOT THE BRAND …but suggestions with the right ratio would be nice. She is 75% GSD and 25% timberwolf and as I said she should be about 100 pounds and currently is 4 months and 40 plus pounds. I was feeding her exclusive.
I asked the vet but the vet only recommended one that regulated growth he didn’t give a particular ratio…. but he did recommend dog food with corn in it so I would rather ask someone else….the only vet in town, growth regulating food is to help prevent hip displysia.

We have two Great Dane puppies and we feed them Eagle Pack Holistic dog food…Do you recommend that? What DO you use if you DON’T use Eagle Pack?
Thanks for any info or stories, I will read it all!

I have a Rottweiler puppy (as most of you know already from my past questions!) and I am treating her to some gourmet Cesar entrees. I’ve already purchased two breakfast entrees and two dinner entrees and just fed her one of the dinner entrees about 2 minutes ago. She is being fed Purina puppy chow, which is making her coat and her teeth shiny and beautiful, and she has more energy than ever, so don’t say anything bad about that please. I’m just giving her some variety of flavor in her foods and some extra nutrients, and every now and then, I will be feeding her this food. I just want to know like, should I heat it up, or like refrigerate it, or what to make it healthier. Or what canned dog food, that can be purchased at WEIS MARKETS GROCERY STORE is better than Cesar’s, that I can feed to her is BETTER than Cesar’s. Remember, it cannot be too expensive per entree, because as I said, she is a Rottweiler. They are huge.
Please Help!!!
