What is the best dog food brand?

I’m want to change my chihuahua’s current dog food (both dry and wet) to a better brand. I’ve been feeding her "Iams chicken & rice" wet food, and "Purina little bites" dry food. She is fed several times a day in small portions, and is fine with weight, coat condition, and visible health. Just wondering what brand of dog food is best for dry, and/or wet food. And by best, I mean the most healthy, natural, safe brand you know! I prefer a brand that can be bought at common stores, but vet brand food is okay too. Alright, thanks!

Please avoid Purina, Iams, Beneful, Pedigree, etc. They’re all terrible. Some extremely high quality foods are Taste of the Wild, Evo, Wellness, and my favorite, Innova. They’re a little harder to find and also a bit pricey but it’s worth it. Innova also has the most "green" manufacturing plant.
None commercial brands.
Look at the labeled ingridents for your answer.
Look for stuff like, Meals, not by-products for there meat.
Chicken meal would be chicken breasts or legs or something speciific. Chicken by-product, would be them getting a chicken throwing it in a blender and serving it.
also, try not to get vegies as corn, its very hard to digest. Humans have a hard time digesting it, imagine how hard it would be for you dog.
Another thing would be proservatives.
go with Vitamin E, a natural proservative.
and stay away from words you can`t pronounce.
or at least are hard to.
and ofcourse stay away from salt.
I would say try to find the top ingriedient as sometime of meat meal.
than vegtable and ect.
Purina Dog Chow
any food that doesnt contain corn, wheat, soy, or by products is fine.
feed her 1//8 cup twice daily. leave it down for 10 minutes. if she doesnt eat it, take it up and wait until the next scheduled feeding time. no need to add canned food.
The most healthy, most natural safe food you can give your dog is an all natural all raw diet. Literally, nothing but raw meat, bones and organ meat.

If you’re not up for that, http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com lists most food brands and gives them a rating of 1-6… The best of those is of course the 6 star brands.
O dear-
I think it’s great your switching her food- I LOVE Canidae- Full of healthy good stuff for your pup-
It will be a bit more expensive- Not to be rude but purina is crap- They use corn- Almost every dog I have every had was allergic to corn.. It’s like feeding your kids junk food:)
DOG CHOW/ PUPPY CHOW!
I bet you will receive a large amount of answers for this one! I am thinking of changing to a raw diet but I am still researching the info. I will be interested to see what others say.
ok,i heard da brand BLUE BUFFALO is a good dry and can food brand. i also heard wellness, chicken soup for the dog lover’s soul, canidae, natural balance, and more are good to , this and more websitescan help, http://www.consumersearch.com/dog-food. but becareful, the food they sell in food 4 less, petco, petsmart can be bad food, pedigree, beneful, iams, royal cainn, purina one, disney old yeller, kibble and mix, and more have crap mixed to it , just google this. so becareful ,btw i feed my dog avoderm, they love it
I recommend Pedigree, its a very popular brand and has different food types for ages and health.
We give our chihuahuas Royal Canin Mini Chihuahua dog food. It is a dry food that is specifically made for the breed.
