What is the healthiest dog food you would recommend for a golden retriever? Also which dog food will prevent a dog from smelling? When family or friends come over they complain about the dog smell. I also think the smell has rubbed onto me. Price does not matter.

When I switched my puppy from science diet to wellness her fur started to get really soft and shiny, I am very pleased with Wellness so far.
The best food is a raw diet or veggies, starches and chicken! Good Luck!
Technically, a raw diet is best.
Some commercial brands are Innova Evo, Blue Buffalo Wilderness, Artemis, Instinct, Orijen, Taste of the Wild, and Wellness CORE.
I hear that science diet is a good dry food. However all the dogs I had while growing up always ate table food. However back then table food was not processed. Good meats and veggies, stews that were left over. My dogs were always healthy, never had health issues and never really smelled as bad as dogs do today from all the preservatives in the dry food.
well i have 2 dogs but they don’t eat dog food, they eat cat food, i think its really good for them because my oldest dog is a bichon frise he is 91 in dog years and the food really keeps him active and there is no smell. the name of the cat food is called meow mix in-case you want to give it a try
There really is no *healthiest* dog food for every dog as a healthy food that my dog thrives on may cause an allergic reaction and diarrhea in yours. However, there are good brands of dog food that have a variety of different healthy formulas for you to choose from. My favourites ones are Wellness, Orijen, Acana, Go! Natural, Innova, EVO, and California Natural. Check out http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com for ratings on all the popular dog foods on the market today.
Well popular brand names may have good slogans but are not actually healthy.
Blue Buffalo is pretty good from what i have heard.
